I Don't Want to Play This Game
I Don't Want to Play This Game
Move - Arrow Keys Jump - Z Dash - X Rewind - C
4 worlds, 12 randomly generated levels, lots of deaths and maybe a few spikes.
Pro tips:
-Repeatedly pressing jump while sticking against a wall lets you climb it.
-Jumping on the ice stops you from sliding.
-Want to try out a level without spending coins? Just stand on its door, Jump up, and hold C while in the air. It's not cheating if the developer told you how to do it :)
This was my big project from the first half of 2018 and I'd love to go back to it at some point If i ever find the time. I'm really happy with a lot of the ideas i got into here, but it can also get quite infuriating to do well. I would eventually like to improve the controls, convey the rewind mechanic a little better, adjust the difficulty, and maybe even do some new art.
Downloadable version available below.

Install instructions
1. Download the folder below
2. Right Click on folder → Extract all
3. Run I Don't Want to Play This Game.exe
4. You might get the infamous "Removed a threat to your computer" message. The file is fairly unknown and few people have used it so a lot of antivirus systems say "Let's delete this just in case." Don't worry, just bring the file back or choose "Run this program anyway".

Always nice to play a platformer with some humour in it. I liked the rewind idea, a different way to implement the checkpoints and lives system. The mechanics could use some honing, but I guess the slightly dodgy physics kind of fit this kind of game. If you're interested, I'd like to invite this game to our Game Development World Championship!
Haha this look like a fun little game. I didn't play much but I'll come back later to give it another try. I don't like that it stick to the walls, feels a bit outrageous to me but it's not a big deal.
